The people in my life are beyond inspirational. They all have crazy careers going on and family and obligations, yet, they still take time to hang out with me and they inspire me so much. It’s easy to lose sight of what other folks have going on because we can get so caught up in our own heads at times. Spending time with my friend Eric, even for just a little bit after he got home from work, was so encouraging. In fact, I know it was encouraging because I sat at his lake house and painted this scene. Months later his mom, another amazing human, had me print out a 4 x 4 foot image of this piece and framed it for Eric. What a mom, apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and both his sons are incredible and even a grandchild now. Eric is also a great drummer and maybe one of the funniest people in the world. This piece is for all the Erics out there, you guys rule! In fact I’ve never met an Eric I didn’t like, but this particular one is a real gem. Thanks for the inspiration my amigo, till next time.
